EMDR/Brainspotting
EMDR
Are you triggered by past traumas? Do you feel anxious and unable to settle down? Does depression and/or anger outbursts have you feeling confused or hopeless? If so, EMDR can help.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of bilateral stimulation that helps our brains reprocess past traumatic events and push them back into our memory where they belong. The outcome of doing EMDR leads people to feeling more in control of their emotions in the moment, less anxious and more hopeful for the future.
I do EMDR with little hand tappers, so my clients can relax and close their eyes during the reprocessing. Clients have reported gaining greater insight into what the deeper issues are that are keeping them stuck, less reactivity to certain stimuli, reduced anxiety and depression.
It has been repeatedly miraculous watching people become so much more self-aware and able to handle their emotions. EMDR is truly an amazing tool to quickly help people to feel happier, healthier, and whole.
Brainspotting (BSP)
Brainspotting is a relatively new trauma therapy that is focused and powerful in identifying, processing and releasing deep neuropsychological sources of emotional and body pain.
Through finding the eye position, (Brainspots) where trauma, anxiety, depression and behavioral issues are held in the brain, the client processes and releases the trauma from deep within. I have witnessed it to be a very deep, profound healing for my clients and one that lasts over time.
Grief, PTSD, depression and anxiety can all benefit from Brainspotting.
